I would like to update you on the joint Governing Body Meeting that took place last night between the Full Governing Body at Gatten & Lake Primary School and the Full Governing Body at Greenmount Primary School.

Since the schools started working collaboratively in September 2023, there has been joint representations at meetings, so both schools have the benefit of the partnership for the children.

The Governing Bodies have been exploring the idea of the working partnership being extended to a formal partnership. As a result of this the decision has been made to enter into consultation to seek the views of all interested parties in relation to Gatten & Lake and Greenmount Primary Schools becoming federated.

The consultation is designed to help the Governing Bodies find out what you think about the proposal. Yours views are important and the Governors would very much like to hear them.

There are engagement session dates for you to meet Governor representatives from both schools as well as the Governors services and possibly Local Authority representatives.
